- Central Axis of the Imperial City thru TS

This picture was taken quite during last summer, I was standing high above inside a building in Beijing back then. As you can see clearly, there two obvious traditional Chinese architectures to the right of this photo, they are the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower, which I try to emphasize in this shot. What you might not see is some thing far ahead behind the little hill in this picture, which locates the Forbidden City that used to serve as the imperial palace for China's last two dynasties, Ming Dynasty & Qing Dynast, over 600 years. The little hill is where the Jingshan Park is, which used to be an imperial park for the imperial families in the past just like the Beihai Park located right across it to the other direction. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Drum Tower, and Bell Tower lining up together, forming the well-known Central Axis of Beijing, which is currently under the application for UNESCO World Heritage Site right now.
(PS: Beijing is the city with the most UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the world today.)
I have to say that, photography is just so great, it even teaches us the lesson and story of the past through what we shot today. - Family Mart
