Brawl halts Foxconn production

Workers put up scaffolding on a building owned by the contract manufacturer Foxconn The plant in Taiyuan is one of about 20 manufacturing facilities Foxconn has around China

Taiwan-based Foxconn Technology, a major supplier for Apple, has shut a plant in northern China, after a fight broke out among workers injuring 10.

Reports said the fight escalated into an incident involving about 2,000 workers. Police later dealt with the situation.

The facility in Taiyuan, which employs about 79,000 workers, makes consumer electronics components.

Foxconn has previously been accused of poor conditions for workers.
