It's the time of the year when films of different genres stack up at the cinema, hoping to score a box office hit.

The box office battle starts at the IMAX. Academy award-winning director, Ang Lee has taken up the 3D challenge to tell his philosophic story, "Life of Pi", an epic journey of adventure discovery of a young man and a Bengal tiger.

Ang Lee, Director, "Life of Pi", said, "I haven't seen anyone do well making realistic water in 3D, so I built a water tank and tried my best. I spent a whole year making an animated video, demonstrating the way I wanted my actual movie to be, and showed it to investors for approval. I worked with a group of 3D visual artists, great animation designers. And we have made it in a very creative way. "
