Left-behind children in kindergarten in Henan
Left-behind children refer to the children left in the villages by their migrant worker parents, who work and live in the city and cannot afford to raise their kids together with them. The children are taken care by their grandparents and can only see their parents once or twice a year in the spring festival. The children presented here in these photos live in Henan province. On Dec 14, an epileptic man, who was obsessed with doomsday theory, chopped 23 kids and one old woman with a cook chopper in an elementary school in Guangshan county of Henan province. Most of the victims are left-behind children and badly hurt. One of the injured boy said he did not feel pains and he just wants to see her mother.
There are 24 left-behind children from age 2 to 5 in the village kindergarten of Ruzhou, Henan province. They can only wear thick clothes to keep warm in their shabby activity room in winter on Dec 17, 2012.
The teacher is teaching the children Chinese language.
