Chen Linzao is a villager in Tomd Left Banner, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. She has lived there her whole life. The family no longer farms. Their land was leased for little money. Chen's sons went to cities to work and left her with her grandchildren in this remote village. Most of the time she lives alone, expect for holidays when her grandchildren come home from school. She thinks it's normal these days for young people to go to cities to work. She hopes that her grandchildren will achieve something by studying, and will look for success in the cities rather than live on the farm land.

Sergey Kirdyapkin Wins 50km Race Walk Gold Medal at London Games 2012

Russia's Sergey Kirdyapkin won gold in the men's 50km race walk at the London Games on Saturday in an Olympic record time of three hours 35 minutes 59 seconds.The 32-year-old double world champion shaved more than a second off Alex Schwazer's record of 3:37:09 to finish 54 seconds ahead of Australia's Jared Tallent, whose time was also inside the previous Olympic record and a personal best."Around the 25-30km mark I hit the wall. I had to fight with myself but I found my second wind.
