Linda Li, host of the Chinese TV show Beautiful Bride, married Frenchman Carlo Clerico on July 23 in the Bahamas. The bride live-broadcast shots of the wedding on her microblog to share the day with her followers.
It is reported that Li's new husband represents the third generation of a family highly influential in Parisian entertainment circles, organizing shows at famous cabaret houses Le Lido and Moulin Rouge, according to Beijing Youth Entertainment Net.
Li went to France in early July, where she accompanied her future mother-in-law to the beach. The love affair between Li and Clerico was brought to light when they attended the Sino-French Culture Spring Festival.
Li is well known in China as a model, being seen in several commercials. She entered the entertainment industry in 2003 when she took part in the Asia New Face modeling competition, in which she was a top-10 finalist.
Since her new husband's family is influential in Paris, it is presumed that Li will be active in the elite circles of the city.

The latest item on the toxic food list in China is drug capsules made of industrial gelatin extracted from bleached waste leathers. Such capsules can cause cancer due to high level of chromium resulting from leather tanning processing. As of now, China has banned the sale of 13 drugs and arrested 22 for allegedly making and selling capsules made from discarded leather. It has increased rare earth export quotas by 10,680 tonnes, the Ministry of Commerce said Thursday. The announcement brings the total quotas issued so far this year to 21,226 tonnes. Rare earths are a collection of 17 elements used in products from smartphones to hybrid cars. China, the biggest miner of rare earths, capped exports at 30,184 tonnes last year. It said the quotas were designed to conserve resources and protect the environment. Beijing is embroiled in trade disputes with the US, Japan and the European Union over its control of rare earths.
