Li Na, 18, born in Dongchengji village of Cixian county of Hebei province, lost her arms at her 5 years old because she touched a transformer by accident. She became an orphan later because of family changes. Luckily, her foster parents inspire her to face up to life bravely. Li Na is regarded by her teachers and classmates as a "sunny girl". She says: "I will try to earn my living with my feet in the future." She always wears a bright smile on her face while talking with her friends. Nudity in art and nude modeling were introduced into China almost one century ago. When famed Chinese painter Liu Haisu became the first to initiate a figure drawing course at a Shanghai art school in 1917, he immediately triggered public uproar and widespread controversy in regards to nude modeling.
