TargetMap shows Chinese women have world’s smallest breasts

Chinese women have the smallest breasts in the world, according to TargetMap, a popular mapping portal that enables users to create customized maps with their own data.
The Average Breast Cup Size in the World map, which 8as gone viral in recent weeks, is one of most popular user-generated "ReportMaps" on TargetMap, a website created by Barcelona-based company MapGenia.
Every region on the customized world map is colored according to its average breast cup size. Green represents the smallest, the A cup, while red indicates a size that is larger than a D cup. As the map indicates, China, and almost all of Asia, is covered in a sea of green. Various African countries as well as a small number of South American countries also share the same fate.
On the other hand, China's neighbors north of the border appear to the best endowed women in the world. The entire region formerly known as the USSR is covered in red — much as during the Soviet era.
The United States is one of a handful of regions with an impressive D-cup average, although it is unclear whether the data took into account the artificial enhancements popular in the country.
The results of the map are not surprising, says Mao Feng, a breast specialist from the Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing. Chinese women generally have less body fat and are smaller in size, while westerners also tend to have diets higher in fat, making it easier for them to develop fuller breasts, she explained.
Based on statistics from Chinese online retailer Taobao Marketplace, B cup bras are most common in China, with the size accounting for more than 40% of sales. A cups represent around 25% of the market, while C-cup bras make up less than 9% of total sales and tended to be concentrated in Hong Kong, Beijing and the Xinjiang autonomous region — the latter where many of the population are not of Han Chinese ethnicity.
The breast size map has become a hot topic on China's microblogs and in the media. The only map on TargetMaps that has more total views than the breast map is the Worldwide Penis Size Map, which has been understandably been relatively downplayed in China — Chinese and their Asian neighbors are also in last place in this category.
