A man who posted a missed connections ad in a newspaper to look for a young woman he met on a bus ended up finding her, reports Hainan-based Southland Metropolis Daily.
The man, surnamed Chen, posted an ad titled Looking for a Qiongzhong Wushi Girl in the Southland Metropolis Daily, looking for a young lady he met on a bus May 16 in Hainan, the southernmost province of China. They met and started to talk at the bus station before they took the same bus, not leaving contact information with each other before the girl got off the bus. All Chen knew was that the girl was from Qiongzhong Wushi in Hainan.
"I did not expect she would get off the bus so soon. The bus started to leave when I was hesitating, so I missed the opportunity to ask her for her telephone number. I regretted that a lot," said Chen. He said he was sitting at Seat 6 and kept looking at the girl, who was sitting in Seat 21. He wanted to change seats to sit next to her but embarrassed to do so. He was also too embarrassed to give her his name card.
Chen decided to post an ad, hoping to find the girl despite the limited information he had about her. The ad garnered a great deal of attention. Many people called him, offering him information about the possible girl. On the first day he posted the ad, he received a text massage saying "Did you post the ad to look for me?" from the girl he was looking for. They have become friends and have continued to keep in touch.
